Agh, it's Clash Of The Prints!

Dries Van Noten.

(images from style.com)

There are a lot of things that I love about the s/s 10 Dries Van Noten looks. I do have a love for tribal prints, so this should be an obvious designer love for me. But its not just that. Composing and creating the outfit as a whole is something that I value very highly, and when a catwalk show comes along and I find myself falling in love with every look, there can be only one reason why. Dries Van Noten has managed not only to create beautiful printed pieces on their own, but combine them together you get something so much more than beautiful clothing. Grey oversized jumpers 'thrown over' tribal prints give an effortless contrasting city look which I adore. And the clash of patterns seem to look as they were meant to go together. That is pretty genius from Dries Van Noten.

I do find myself quite in awe of those printed trousers and I am currently looking for an high street version for myself, but I have mainly come across floral prints which is not what I want. It seems very daring but I think with simple tees and tops, it could work. I'm not so sure if I'm ready for the print clashing...

Next have some black and white style ones...
And they also blue printed taper ones, very Dries Van Noten.
River Island also have quite a few animal print ones.

H! by Henry Holland for Debenhams

I absoultely love Henry Holland. But he is a top designer which means his clothes are expensive ! But I noticed in my lastest issue of Glamour that he has done a collection for Debenhams, and obviously I was tres happy! The tops are decent prices, with Henry Holland t-shirts at around about £16! Check it out here.
I have planned to buy sooo many items already. Here is a few:

Yes, I know I am aware I have selected quite a few, but I am totally in love with the whole collection. The only thing that puts me off is the bags and jewellery, though there are quite a few stud bracelets and earrings that I'm in love with :) I love the stud earrings and the grey t-shirt with the floral print the most. The prices are similar to Topshop, but Debenhams have sales very often, and currently have a 20% off sale now, so GO AND LOOK NOW!

We wanted Alexa, but all we got was denim.

I don't normally buy Vogue (mainly due to the price!) but I saw Alexa Chung on the cover and I just needed it. I was a little sad and disappointed though, the article by Alexa was just more about denim and I wanted Alexa. Chloe (from http://chloeinfinite.blogspot.com) said the same thing on her blog, she felt it was "really lacking in something". Coincidence? I think not. I do find the whole new head to toe in denim trend cool and interesting and all that, but any old journalist from Vogue could have talked to me about that. Lets leave Alexa just to talk about her own life and style inspirations, please? :)

Btw, I love the new Balmain and Lanvin adverts. I don't think they're even that new, but still, I love them:) I'll try and include a scan of them another time.

Leopard Print.

I'm a big fan of leopard print, and I especially love the leopard print coat;

But seriously, head to toe in leopard print? Is this where fashion is heading to?

Hmm, i'm sorry but for me it seems a bit cheap looking. If you are going to attempt this fashion trend please attempt it with caution, or you may look a bit like this:

Sorry Paris, but just no.

Orlando Bloom had been slowly disappearing from my mind and I forgot how gorgeous he was as he decided to disappear off the earth (has he been in any movies lately?!). But then I saw this, and that last picture. How I have missed Orlando :) Oh, and Agyness is in the pictures as well. She looks cool as ever and everything in these pictures, but the guy she's with has taken over this campaign.

Oh, Balmain.

Because of the metallics, the shoulders and the military edge.

You may have noticed but we like to shop.

Saturday, Anisha and I went on a little shopping trip to delightful town. We had a lovely day wondering about looking at clothes, sales and food :) We took a walk down to the vintage shop and managed to buy a few things.

I bought a lovely gold necklace and a real silver ring all for just £5! And Anisha bought a cute little necklace and a wicked studded bracelet for only £3. Our shopping trip was a success although Anisha is yet to find a leather jacket and we are both still searching for brown brogues. If you no anywhere that does them for cheap please comment!

Here are pictures of our outfits:

Anisha
Scarf Oasis, Shirt Vintage, Cardigan Urban Outfitters, T-Shirt Topshop, Necklace, H&M, Bag Primark, Skirt H&M, Boots some shop in Italy?

Andie

Shoes-Converse, Bag-Warehouse, Shirt-New York, Jacket-New York

Here are our purchases:

Anisha- These are my gorgeous boots that I brought for 25 quid from the Birmingham Indoor Market. I thank Andie for these gorgeous beauties as she showed me the stall as she brought a similar pair before. They are rather expensive on the high-street and I've been wanting a pair like this for some time.
Thank you for these gorgeous boots!

My gorgeous studded braclet from the vintage store at the Custard Factory for £4. I love anything with studs!

My £3 necklace also from the vintage fair at the custard factory.

Andie's gorgeous necklace from the Custard Factory vintage shop. How amazing are those golden leaves and that painted blue heart?

Andie's real silver ring from the Custard Factory Vintage store which she brought for a fiver. It's real silver so it won't rust and its definitely a bargain, plus it look gorgeous on her!

Catwalk Trends for s/s 2010

I found this amazing article in the Sunday Times Style magazine (31/01).

Anisha - My favourite trend is definitely the denim shirt and pattern pieces, maybe becuase I've been wearing these looks for a while. I absolutely love patterns and patterned dresses. My favourite looks are from the Gucci Spring 2010 collection where they have fused tribal print into a typical wardrobe, with the print on dresses, jackets and shirts. My favourite has to be the printed stretch dress (see below). I want this badly in my wardrobe!

Andie- The leather and denim has got to be my favourite trend! Still yet to find a perfect (and cheap) leather skirt but when i do i will LIVE in it.I'm also loving the patterned pieces especially the Alexander Mcqueen dresses. His innovative ideas and mixture of clashing colours, prints and textures do it for me.
